Plasterwork is underway in the entrance lobby…

Originally, there would have been decorative plasterwork where wall met ceiling; but at some time since 1760 (there is an older house within) it was removed. And now, it’s going back; that is, what might have been here is returning. The design is based on a Georgian house in Cheltenham and existing work in our home. Not too posh, not too grand, a gentle welcoming flourish as a dweller or visitor steps over the threshold.
